Bison Bank is listed in ESMA’s interim MiCA register as a crypto-asset service provider authorised by Banco de Portugal (19 May 2026) for eight services; on 23 June 2026 it said it had become the first bank in Portugal to operate directly as a MiCA CASP, merging its subsidiary Bison Digital Assets into the bank.
