FIS announced on 30 April 2026 Project Keystone, a bank-owned and bank-administered network for digital money built on regulated deposits, developed with six U.S. financial institutions; participating banks named include Citizens, Fifth Third, Huntington Bank, KeyBank and M&T Bank. FIS says the network will let participating banks issue, transfer and settle regulated deposits in digital form on shared infrastructure they administer themselves.
Scope: Tracked for Citizens; the other named participants (Fifth Third, Huntington, KeyBank, M&T) are not yet profiled. FIS says six banks are involved but names five.
