Croatia’s state-controlled HPB is authorised to provide crypto-asset custody and administration under MiCA, restricted solely to the Passive Digital Asset AIF, a private-offering fund specialised in bitcoin for which HANFA approved HPB as depositary in 2020; HANFA says the approval was issued by the ECB, and ESMA’s register dates it 16 June 2026.
