Project Agorá, convened by the BIS with the Institute of International Finance, ran real-value testing in July 2026: 28 financial institutions and central banks completed transactions totalling about CHF 800,000 across CHF, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW and USD on a shared platform using tokenised reserves and tokenised deposits. Testing banks included Hana Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, NongHyup Bank, Shinhan Bank and Woori Bank alongside the Bank of Korea.
Scope: Prototype platform; testing institutions transacted on behalf of all Project Agorá participants.
