Deutsche Bank to launch digital asset custody for institutional and corporate clients in Europe
Deutsche Bank said on 16 September 2026 that it is set to launch a digital asset custody solution this year for institutional and corporate clients in Europe, subject to the completion of the applicable regulatory timeline; the bank will manage wallets and private keys on clients' behalf and allow transfers to third parties. At launch it will support Bitcoin and Ether as well as selected stablecoins or e-money tokens including USDC, EURC and EURAU, with tokenized financial instruments on the roadmap. The initial target group is clients of its Corporate Bank and Investment Bank, including corporates, asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, brokers and sovereign institutions.
