Mastercard and BVNK launch Global Money Platform combining fiat and stablecoin accounts for banks and fintechs

Mastercard and BVNK announced on 15 October 2026 the launch of Mastercard Global Money Platform, which brings Mastercard's payments capabilities together with BVNK's stablecoin infrastructure through a single API; it is the first major integration of the two since Mastercard's acquisition of BVNK in August 2026. Banks, fintechs and enterprises can embed multi-currency fiat and stablecoin accounts, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local bank payouts through Mastercard Move under their own brand, and Mastercard says future support includes regulated forms of money such as tokenized deposits. Nuvei and Marqeta will be among the first to integrate, alongside Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech.
