OCBC launches a 24/7 tokenised deposit solution with Ant International for treasury transfers between Singapore and Malaysia
OCBC said on 7 October 2026 that it has become the first bank to collaborate with Ant International on a tokenised deposit solution for always-on treasury management and liquidity movement between Singapore and Malaysia. To start, Ant International can mobilise SGD- and USD-denominated tokenised deposits on a 24/7 basis for near real-time settlement of treasury transactions between its entities; the solution is powered by OCBC's blockchain capabilities and delivered through Ant International's WhaleRTP platform. OCBC said the launch builds on its September 2026 cross-border US dollar tokenised deposit transaction with Citibank on Swift's ledger.

DBS, OCBC and UOB complete first live Singapore dollar tokenised deposit transactions on Swift's ledger
OCBC said on 10 September 2026 that DBS, OCBC and UOB have completed live domestic Singapore dollar transactions using tokenised deposits on Swift's blockchain-based ledger, the first time the three Singapore banks have executed live interbank transactions using tokenised deposits. The release says the transactions follow Swift's July 2026 announcement that its ledger was ready for initial use, with 17 banks across six continents preparing live tokenised-deposit transactions. OCBC also referred to its own live USD cross-border transaction on the ledger, and UOB said it had expanded from Hong Kong dollar to Singapore dollar and US dollar transactions beyond traditional banking hours.
