VersaBank Initiates Commercial Phase of Tokenized Deposit Program in the United States
VersaBank announced it has initiated the commercial phase in the United States for its proprietary tokenized deposits, starting with VersaBank USA issuing the bank's own Real Bank Tokenized Deposits (RBTDs), branded VUSD. The bank describes VUSD as interest-paying, FDIC insurance-eligible, U.S.-dollar tokenized deposits and says it plans to list VUSD on digital asset exchanges as soon as feasible. VersaBank also intends to offer its tokenized deposit technology to U.S. community and regional banks.
