Ripple National Trust Bank receives final OCC charter approval to manage RLUSD reserves and provide digital asset custody
Ripple said on 26 October 2026 that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) had granted final approval for chartering Ripple National Trust Bank (RNTB), a federally supervised national trust bank, following conditional OCC approval in December 2025. RNTB’s approved activities include managing the segregated reserves supporting RLUSD, acting as collateral trustee of those reserves for RLUSD holders and providing fiduciary digital asset custody; RLUSD will continue to be issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, Ripple’s NYDFS-regulated limited purpose trust company.
